SOCIAL UPLIFTMENT OF SUBSISTENCE FARMERS

FIT has engaged with community based organizations in Uganda, DRC, South Africa as well as the Caribbean with a clear mission to promote social upliftment of subsistence farmers by converting them into sustainable commercial enterprises and in the process create self-sustaining communities.

The focus is on empowering women farmers and addressing youth unemployment, whilst at the same time promote food security and alleviate malnutrition amongst the population in the immediate areas as well as on a national and regional basis.

Special educational workshops will also be hosted to address acute malnutrition in early childhood development to prevent stunted growth which is especially prevalent in Africa.

An estimated 4000+ subsistence farmers will be positively affected by these programs which FIT will be implementing in conjunction with Wicari Agri, who will be responsible for implementation of the various agri initiatives and equipping the farmers with technical know how, skills transfers and ongoing mentorship support.
